Lolita new year goals

What are my plans for lolita this year?

Hello everyone
So last year didn’t go as any of us had planned, no events or meet ups to go to. I hope things change this year but I think we’re unlikely to see any change for some time. I have tried to dress up and have attended some online meet ups and done remote twinning.
As I reflect on 2020 I think of what I want out of my participation in this fashion. For me going to events was a big thing and the highlight of the year, especially when it included travelling to Europe. This year I’ll continue to attend online events but it also means that my fancier clothes don’t really get worn. In fact as I write this the UK is in lockdown again and we are urged to stay in except for essential trips. I think this year my aims are to only add a few basics and quite specific items to my wardrobe. Also I want to avoid buying new and to try to stick to indie brands. I also want to save for winter 2021/2022 in the hopes of being able to travel again

This years plans for my wardrobe came in part to me nearly completing my wardrobe post for this year. This gave me insight into what I was missing and if I had any extraneous items I didn’t use.

1) add some old school cream items

I picked up a few bits of old school in the past year and while I have black and white to pair with them I don’t have any cream. I’d also like to add another Triple Fortune bonnet in the old style they made

Baby the Stars Shine Bright cream rectangular headdress

Metamorphose raschel lace OTK socks

Baby the Stars Shine Bright cream blouse

2) Find some more velvet and old school classic lolita

I’d really like to find a few old school velvet items

I’d love to find a Victorian Maiden skirt like this one since I own the velvet cutsew in the photo

I’m also looking for this dress, I used to have it but stupidly sold it 😭

As well as velvet I love old school Juliette et Justine and would love to find some of the detailed pieces they used to make

3) find some blouses in grey, blue and wine
The majority of my wardrobe is OPs so I did cull quite a few blouses in 2020. However, a couple of colourful ones would be a great addition

4) my last goal is to buy less and sew more
I feel that have enough clothes and I don’t really want to make my collection much bigger. Not to mention it taking up too much space

Thanks for reading 💕

Do you have any goals for your 2021 lolita wardrobe?
